Buckingham Law School forges international links

Buckingham Law School recently visited L'Institut Catholique d'Études Superieurs (ICES) in North West France to investigate the opportunity of establishing a coordinated master's programme. This would allow law students from ICES to undertake the LLM (Master of Laws) at Buckingham.

ICES is an independent university of approximately 800 students studying a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Amongst the subjects offered are political science and law.
Given its capacity to award state degrees, the independent status of ICES makes it an unusual institution in France where the state dominates the university sector.

Meetings took place between the two universities. The aim is for approximately five students from ICES to join the Buckingham LLM every year.

This initiative is part of Buckingham Law School's ongoing strategy to forge links with French universities who share Buckingham's commitment to excellent academic standards and high quality teaching. Earlier this year Buckingham Business School also established an agreement with FACO (Faculté Libre de Droit et d'Économie) in Paris.
