Business school offers graduates 'money back guarantee'

A private business school in London is offering students a partial refund on their course fees if they fail to secure a job within six months of graduation.

The London School of Business and Finance (LSBF) has "guaranteed" that participants in its Trium BA programme will land a graduate-level, full-time post if they get a minimum of a 2:2 qualification, the Times Higher Education Supplement reports.

As part of the course, which costs up to £9,950 a year, students will supplement their study of financial services, international business, marketing or accounting with internships to boost their employability skills.

If a graduate fails to land a job within six months of picking up their degree, they will be entitled to a "cashback" payment of £2,500, the equivalent of around eight per cent of their total tuition fees.

LSBF group managing director, Valery Kisilevsky, told the newspaper: "There are about two million graduates struggling to find jobs. It's not the quality of the degree or education that is the problem, but they are lacking certain skills.

"Having language skills and work experience skills are key aspects that will add to the undergraduate programme."
