Newcastle to host placements fair

Newcastle University's Careers Service will host a Business Placement Fair on 31 October.

The event, which will be held at the university's business school, will give visitors the chance to meet representatives of 15 companies that offer gap year, sandwich and summer placements, as well as internships and work experience.

Among the companies confirmed to attend are professional services firms Deloitte, Ernst & Young and PricewaterhouseCoopers, carmaker Nissan, technology giant IBM and insurer Standard Life.

The fair, which will run from 12pm to 3pm, will be sponsored by Accenture.
