PR hopefuls offered CV tips
Graduates in North West who aspire to a career in the highly competitive PR industry are being offered a professional appraisal of their CV to help them stand out from the crowd.
The Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) North West Group has recruited a number of "CV Doctors" from agencies including McCann Erickson, Paver Smith and Amaze PR to review resumes submitted to the organisation by 31 August.
The experts will give individuals advice on sharpening up their CV, tailoring it to different roles and enhancing their work experience.
Erin Portsmouth, chair of the CIPR North West Group, said: "PR has always been a highly competitive industry to break into. Today's tough job market makes it even more challenging for graduates and young professionals wanting to get their big break in a successful agency or in-house team
"CIPR North West is keen to support people starting out on their PR career from across the region as well as ensuring that the industry has access to a talented pool of up-and-coming professionals."
