University of Bolton to host graduate employment summer schools

The University of Bolton is planning two free employment summer schools for graduates from across the North West.

The two-day events will be open to anyone who graduated within the past three years, provided they attended a North West university or are currently living in the region.

They will bring together a number of recruiters including Warburtons, Enterprise Rent-a-Car and CIS/Co-operative.

In addition, there will be a series of workshops designed to boost graduates' employability. The first day of each event will focus on key basics such as putting together a CV, interview skills and the labour market.

Activities on the second day will look at "opportunity awareness" with advice on how to effectively search for a job and then develop a career.

Alumni from the University of Bolton will also be on hand to discuss how graduates can reach their goals.

Gail Airey of the university's Careers Advice Service said: "This is a great opportunity for recent graduates from across the region to get some solid and free advice from experts and employers."

The summer schools will be held on 4-5 August and 7-8 September.
